Speech Language Pathologist SLP Per Diem

Summary Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and helping prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders.
Essential Functions
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Implement treatment plans using various techniques and modalities.
Monitor and document patient progress and adjust plans as needed.
Educate patients and families about disorders and strategies for improving communication.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications Education:
Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy (required)
Licenses and Credentials:
Speech‑language Pathologist state license (required); preferred certificates: CCC‑SLP, CCC‑A, BLS, etc.
Experience:
0‑1 year in speech pathology (preferred); 0‑1 year acute hospital experience (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech‑language disorders.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures independently.
Understanding of state standards, federal and state regulations.
Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
