Veterinary Technician
to join our expanding team and help us provide exceptional experiences. By joining our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you will have access to a peer network, continuing education allowances, and learning and development programs to support you in achieving your career goals.
Responsibilities
Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms
Laboratory procedures including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members
Nursing skills including restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
Proficient in dental prophylaxis
Qualifications
Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state
Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
