QA SUPERVISOR –Specialty Ingredients

Our client is a rapidly growing specialty ingredient manufacturer of well-known confectionery products. Due to a recent promotion, they are looking for an experienced
QA SUPERVISOR
for their key plant located in Fort Worth, TX. This position is a second shift position
(4pm-12pm) The
QA SUPERVISOR
will assist with day-to-day QA procedures in the plant. They will review and modify paperwork, HACCP programs, SOP’s, other pre-requisite materials related to food safety to improve quality and compliance. Work with the management in Food Safety, Sanitation, and Production to improve policy, procedures, and training. Actively participate in the worker safety program to assist the QA Manager with Food Safety and OSHA compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee internal and external laboratory process. Assistance in training and development of training materials as needed for applicable departments. Involvement in quality related customer complaint investigations. Assist in third party & customer audit compliance. HACCP Pre-shipment document review. Supervision of Pre-Operational Inspection process. Supervision over finished product testing and environmental monitoring program Point of contact for 3rd party contractors (Sanitation, Calibration, Pest Control, etc.) Review 3rd party documentation (Sanitation, Calibration, Pest Control, etc.) Oversee best practices for alignment to Quality KPIs. Perform other duties as specified by the QA Manager. REQUIREMENTS Must have a BS in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science or other similar science Must have at least one (1) year of QA Supervision/Management experience with a food manufacturer. The company prefers applicants who have worked with similar ingredients, flavors, confections, foods HACCP Certified Prefer SQF Certified Prefer PCQI Certified Have the ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Have the ability to enter and interpret data, create procedures, reports, graphs, etc. utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
