Overview Texas Surgical Center is seeking a qualified Materials Manager to join our team. The Materials Management Technician is responsible for procurement for all supplies in the hospital with the exception of food and drugs, for a busy multispecialty acute surgery center. The Materials Manager will lead in project activities such as receiving of supplies, stocking supplies, inventory, and quality control. The organization is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. This position requires physical activity approximately 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

Lead in project activities such as receiving of supplies, stocking supplies, inventory, and quality control.

Procure supplies for a multispecialty acute surgery center (excluding food and drugs).

Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with facilities and corporate office.

Maintain and share a positive attitude in supporting facilities to prepare for and implement change.

Participate as an active and collaborative member of the procurement system Data Management Team.

Operate office equipment required to fulfill job duties.

Qualifications

One to two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment preferred; some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.

Strong customer service background.

Strong math and counting skills; computer experience (Microsoft Office, Outlook, ENVI, Word and Excel preferred).

Able to deal tactfully with public and staff; ability to prioritize multiple projects; ability to handle repetitive tasks.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted; ability to stand, bend, twist, squat and lift items above head and shoulders; ability to work in a clean and sterile environment.

Strong technology skills and interest; excellent time management and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and promote teamwork.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information; outstanding customer service skills.

Bilingual preferred; good phone etiquette; ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with corporate office and facility staff.
