QA Analyst with education domain knowledge —specifically OnBase and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (PSFT).
Local to DC/MD area. Could be contract to hire role.
We are seeking a
QA Analyst
with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to support quality assurance efforts for our education technology systems—specifically
OnBase
and
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (PSFT) . The ideal candidate will bring
education domain knowledge , a solid understanding of
Agile SDLC , and the ability to think critically about business objectives and system behaviors. Prior hands‑on experience with OnBase or PSFT is preferred but
not required ; training and guidance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and execute
detailed
test plans ,
test cases , and
test scripts
for OnBase and PSFT Campus Solutions.
Review test plans with business stakeholders
to confirm coverage, expected outcomes, and alignment requirements.
Conduct
integration
and
regression testing
to validate data and process integrity across systems.
Use
Postman
(or similar tools) to test and validate APIs and integrations.
Analyze business requirements
to understand not just the what but also the why—ensuring test scenarios align with real user needs and business goals.
Identify, log, track, and verify defects through resolution, maintaining strong communication with development and business teams.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners in
Agile ceremonies
(sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives).
Support
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
by coordinating with business testers, tracking progress, and ensuring timely feedback.
Establish and maintain
QA metrics
to assess UAT progression and quality outcomes.
Proactively
reach out to business teams
to confirm that UAT is progressing as planned and provide guidance where needed.
Instruct and guide team members
to follow QA processes and best practices, fostering consistency and continuous improvement.
Make
recommendations to the project team
on process enhancements, test efficiencies, and quality improvements.
Ensure
traceability
of test cases to business and functional requirements.
Continuously improve QA documentation, standards, and workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Familiarity with
OnBase
or
PSFT Campus Solutions
preferred, but not required.
Strong understanding of
Agile methodologies
and the
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
Excellent
analytical ,
investigative , and
documentation
skills.
Proven experience with
integration
and
regression testing .
Experience using
Postman
or similar tools for API testing.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
Experience with
test management tools
(e.g., Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail).
Background or exposure in the
education domain
(student information systems, enrollment, records, or financial aid) highly desired.

Strong attention to detail and ability to connect technical behavior to business context.
