Expert and Educator Team Lead – Heated Tobacco Product
Compensation: $68,400 plus potential bonus
The Expert and Educator Team Lead plays a key role in building brand awareness and educating legal age smokers and nicotine users about heat-not-burn products as a smoke-free alternative. This role involves in-person product demonstrations, B2B retailer education, consumer engagement, networking events, and community outreach to drive awareness, advocacy, and conversion to a smoke-free future. The Team Lead will also assist in reporting and scheduling for the teams supporting military installations.
Responsibilities
75% of time as an expert and educator, up to 25% in a team lead role supporting field team functions
Reach out to legal age smokers and nicotine users within the community, in-store and on-base, to educate about heated tobacco as an alternative to cigarettes
Conduct in-person sessions with individuals or small groups to educate on heated tobacco and benefits of conversion
Build relationships with key stakeholders through sales visits, training sessions, and other touchpoints
Ask open-ended questions to understand nicotine use habits and preferences
Comply with all regulations and processes
Provide exceptional customer service in every interaction with legal age smokers and nicotine users
Age-verify every interaction to confirm individuals are at least 21 years old
Coordinate informational sessions with retail associates, consumers, and network contacts
Create weekly schedules for teams at the dedicated military installation
Prepare weekly reporting and perform other ad hoc administrative tasks as directed
Assist with coaching and development of team members at the military installation
Qualifications
Comprehensive in-person onboarding to prepare for success
Support and coaching from a manager for ongoing development
Sales and customer service skills training for continuous learning
Regular feedback solicitation to help shape the program for the community

Basic Qualifications
Must be 24 years of age or older
1-3+ years of management or supervisory experience
Experience with reporting and scheduling
Military experience (veteran/dependent/spouse) with ability to obtain clearance to work on base
Background check required to access and work on base
Flexibility with schedule adjustments to maximize in-store coverage
Ability to work independently and manage one’s schedule efficiently
Ability to work 40 hours per week including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Commit to 6-month contract duration with potential for extension or role changes
Strong listening and communication skills; ability to connect with others empathetically
Ability to coordinate informal information sessions to educate and influence new joiners
Preferred Qualifications
Retail and customer service management experience
Strong business acumen and analytical skills with effective verbal and written communication
Existing network within the military installation community and ability to influence through storytelling
