Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP) is the central planning function within CSCP focused on forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning for all Microsoft Cloud services and associated hardware. Collaborate with demand planners in different resource types to understand a capacity plan that meets customer needs, while maintaining compliance to supply and execution policies, throughput capacities and contractual requirements. Develop deep understanding and provide plan explicability to the end-to-end execution teams. Own tracking and project management for special decommission projects across stakeholders. Apply advanced analytics toward rich insights and key financial and strategic decisions. Support workshops for strategic improvement projects to drive alignment and close gaps in the midterm planning process. Project manage process improvements and transformations with stakeholders. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years’ experience in supply chain, inventory management or sales operations, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience OR equivalent experience. 2 years of supply chain experience in planning, forecasting, designing or analyzing supply chain challenges. Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements. This includes the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, which must be passed upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications

5+ years’ experience with cross-functional coordination, including partnering with data scientists, developers, and program managers to drive continual improvement. Generating clarity: align everyone on the same plan with constant communication and reduce ambiguity. Metrics and analytics: identify themes and insights from data; define and measure KPI to drive decision making. Results: ability to translate strategic thinking into action and deliver capacity availability at the right cost with minimal surprises. Collaboration: strong collaboration and negotiation to achieve win/win solutions. Experience working with complex enterprise data sets and statistics, including modeling concepts. Technical fluency with cloud concepts, large-scale platforms, distributed services, hardware, and data centers. Storytelling skills to demonstrate project needs, progress, and impacts. Demand Planning IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. A different range applies to specific locations (San Francisco Bay Area and NYC metro area): USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
