Business Development Specialist
for their Dallas, TX office. The role focuses on expanding market share and client relationships, conducting market analysis, executing business development plans, and collaborating with leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue or Opportunity Generation
Conduct market analysis to inform yearly BD planning and targeted client lists
Collaborate with office, practice, and sector leadership to establish yearly business development plans and targeted clients
Execute plans with project teams and leadership
Create and execute capture plans for targeted clients
Develop relationships with prospective clients across practices and offices
Set up meetings with qualified clients and follow up on opportunities
Communicate HKS’s story and key projects effectively
Participate in events and conferences to connect with potential clients
Coordinate and track pursuits in Salesforce, including pipeline reporting and win/loss analysis
Ensure documentation of RFx activities in Salesforce
Collaborate on pursuit strategies and debriefs
Participate in client calls and strategy meetings

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field
8+ years of business development experience; industry experience preferred
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Knowledge of architecture/interior design industry
Proven sales track record and ability to develop lasting client relationships
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
Ability to negotiate, influence, and manage change
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proactive problem solving and innovative thinking
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel as required
