The Job: The Plant Manager is responsible for driving continuous and significant improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and working capital. This involves developing a world-class organization and implementing strategic business objectives, including strategic planning, lean management, manufacturing techniques, and six sigma tools. Focus will be on team building, talent development, and engagement activities.
The Responsibilities include:
Drive improvements in on-time delivery, service level, and lead-time.
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies supporting the division’s market-driven objectives.
Lead strategy deployment and KPI reviews to ensure results and strategic priorities are met.
Implement safety and industrial hygiene programs.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and strategic achievement.
Build and evolve the organizational structure, ensuring talent development and engagement.
Improve cycle time and working capital through lean manufacturing.
Monitor manufacturing metrics and KPIs, and respond accordingly.
Present plans and results periodically.
Take actions to improve financial performance and resource allocation.
Coordinate with other departments such as sales, engineering, and supply chain.
Ensure product quality and customer satisfaction through collaboration with product marketing, R&D, and quality teams.
Participate actively in the S&OP process.
Benchmark and implement best practices.
The Person: You should love to learn, grow, and contribute valuably. You should embrace innovation and have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
5–10 years of operations leadership experience with proven performance improvements.
Experience in lean culture and tools.
Manufacturing experience in metal fabrication, finishing/machining, and assembly preferred.
Critical knowledge of supply chain and inventory management.
Understanding of OSHA, environmental regulations, and EHSMS.
Strong manufacturing, technical, and management abilities.
Ability to prioritize and deploy resources effectively.
High expectations driven by metrics and performance measures.
Quick learner and goal-oriented.
