We are looking for a Wastewater Conveyance Engineer to support a variety of wastewater conveyance projects in Minnesota and the upper Midwest. You will be client facing and lead and support projects related to wastewater conveyance including lift stations, forcemains, gravity sewers, metering stations, and other related infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to engage in work that spans local, regional, and national geographies and to work with Stantec’s Water professionals, including over 4,000 Water staff in North America. Your Responsibilities
Project Management and Delivery: Identify appropriate resources to achieve project objectives; manage contract terms; track and manage costs and schedule; implement measures to stay on schedule and within budget. Technical delivery: writing memos/reports and preparing deliverables such as plans/specifications and other engineering documents. Construction administration: site visits, submittal reviews, and other routine construction administration services. Lead multi-discipline project teams to successfully execute projects. Business Development: understand client needs, communicate project status, lead client presentations; lead efforts for proposal preparation and business development; opportunities to attend conferences and lead technical presentations. Administrative: mentor a team of professionals and assist with identification/recruitment of top talent. Capabilities and Credentials
Proven project management and technical skills applicable to wastewater conveyance infrastructure projects. Experience organizing, planning, and executing multi-discipline design projects from pursuit through closeout. Ability to make sound defensible business decisions and solve complex problems. Experience with various process system designs related to wastewater conveyance infrastructure. Strong written and oral communication skills. Education and Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or construction management related technical discipline. Minimum 8 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years managing and/or coordinating wastewater conveyance projects. Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota or ability to achieve within one year of hire.
