The

Quality Systems Supervisor

is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining processes and practices within the quality management system that help the organization achieve the highest quality standards possible and minimize product defects. This role supports integrating all quality connected functions into a Quality System, designed to assist manufacturing operations in providing quality products that fulfill customer needs at a minimum cost. The Quality Systems Supervisor also develops, communicates, and coordinates the execution of all Company quality programs along with providing leadership to the Quality Assurance department.

Overview Join a growth‑oriented aerospace company with over 100 years of manufacturing aluminum and magnesium components for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and engines. We specialize in high‑engineering sub‑assemblies and support a wide range of “function critical” products.

Responsibilities

Establish, implement and maintain processes and practices within the quality management system to ensure desired outputs.

Communicate the company Quality Policy and Objectives to all levels and align company strategies with Quality Policy and Objectives.

Maintain complete knowledge of the QMS system and its conformance to AS9100 and Nadcap processes.

Manage significant internal and external supply chain interfaces, addressing customer complaints, external escapes and audits.

Work directly with key customers when quality issues arise and when audits or certifications are required.

Manage internal and external root cause and corrective action processes; mentor and train internal staff; apply continuous improvement practices to the RCCA program.

Oversee company‑wide calibration processes.

Supervise production‑facing quality aspects, including heat‑treat calibrations, outside processing inspections, specification review, operational change management and gage control.

Report the performance of the quality management system, including any need for improvement, to the Director of Quality Assurance.

Provide leadership for the Quality Assurance department and weekly reports to executive staff.

Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of previous experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role; previous aerospace experience strongly preferred.

Sigma Black Belt, ASQ, Lean Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred.

Attention to detail, strong communication skills at all organizational levels and with outside customers, and ability to work through complex situations.

Working knowledge of ISO/AS9100/Nadcap and customer requirements.
