This onsite role will oversee a team of systems engineers during the design, development, integration, and verification of Environmental & Airframe Control Systems (EACS). The Senior Manager will lead system development and verification efforts for EACS, including defining detailed tasks, providing technical oversight, coordinating between disciplines, ensuring compliance with industry and company design standards, and meeting program requirements for schedule and cost.
Responsibilities
Partner with value stream and engineering leadership to ensure that all technical and programmatic requirements are met.
Collaborate with value stream and chief engineers to ensure programs are staffed with the necessary resources.
Support non-advocate reviews and system design reviews by providing technical input and oversight.
Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes across the organization.
Identify risks associated with systems integration activities and develop effective mitigation plans.
Develop accurate cost estimates and identify capital investment needs to support program execution.
Ensure programs are executed within the approved budget and schedule constraints.
Lead efforts to resolve technical issues and drive them to closure.
Champion strategy and innovation by aligning engineering efforts with long-term organizational goals and fostering forward-looking, transformative solutions.
Qualifications What You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
What We Prefer
Experience in the design and verification of complex aerospace systems
Experience in implementation verification, including planning, coordination, and execution
Knowledge of aerospace certification requirements, including ARP4754, DO-178, and/or DO-254
Proven experience leading projects and cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
