Position Overview International is looking to add an

Indirect Category Manager-IT . Indirect procurement plays a vital role in maintaining business continuity across the organization. The indirect procurement team is responsible for identifying suppliers that support a multitude of services, including but not limited to capital equipment and investment, IT hardware/software, consultative services, logistics and distribution, maintenance and repair, marketing and human resources.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing: Developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to meet organizational goals.

Supplier Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high performance while ensuring compliance with standards and contractual obligations.

Cost Reduction: Identifying and executing opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Contract Negotiation: Securing favorable terms and conditions through effective contract negotiations.

Global Coordination: Aligning procurement strategies across different regions and business units within Traton and Volkswagen.

Innovation and Sustainability: Driving initiatives that promote innovation and sustainability within the procurement process.

Market Analysis: Research and benchmark market trends specific to the category to understand and communicate cost drivers.

Minimum Requirements

At least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience.

Or Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience.

Or Master’s degree.

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams efficiently.

Ability to read, understand, and execute commercial agreements and contracts.
