Ascension Health Illinois seeks a Heart Failure Cardiologist for our group in the Northwest Suburbs or Chicago. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with Ascension Medical Group to deliver high-quality care to patients. Position Highlights: Work alongside a team of passionate cardiovascular experts committed to transforming care and innovation Candidates must be Board certified or eligible in cardiology with a focus on advanced heart failure Plan to expand services such as VAD, Amyloid, HCM, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Cardiorenal clinics Schedule involves rotational inpatient service at Alexian Brothers with call and weekend heart failure coverage; outpatient clinic Monday-Friday, 9-5; inpatient coverage at St. Alexius with morning rounding and afternoon clinic Join one of the most advanced cardiovascular teams in the region and collaborate with experienced physician leaders Grow within Ascension’s mission-driven culture emphasizing compassion, collaboration, and excellence Responsibilities include: Evaluating and treating patients using appropriate diagnostic and medical skills Participating in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care Managing patient referrals, hospital admissions, and consultations Engaging in academic activities such as education and research Documenting care to meet insurance requirements and managing denials Providing inpatient and outpatient consultation, including on-call duties Minimum Requirements
Licensure/Certification: Physician MD/DO credential from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, verified prior to hire Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association preferred Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required Why Join Our Team
