Overview
Hematopathology Faculty - Open Rank at Medical College of Wisconsin. The department seeks a qualified Hematopathologist to join the busy clinical service. The position is based at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and provides support to the hematopathology service at Children’s Wisconsin. The candidate must qualify for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Pathology or higher and be Board Certified in, or eligible for certification in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematology. Ideally, the candidate will have experience or expertise in Molecular Hematopathology and must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
Hematopathology service work and teaching responsibilities with diverse cases, including in-house bone marrow specimens, flow cytometry studies, in-house tissue specimens, and a substantial volume of second-opinion studies from outside facilities.
Collaborate with subspecialty pathologists for consults and assistance on complex cases.
Participate in the education, training, and development of residents, fellows, medical students, and observers.
Contribute to academic activities with financial and technical support available to develop an academic career.
Collaborate with basic science departments and clinical/translational investigators across the system.
Qualifications
Board Certified in, or eligible for certification in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematology.
Experience or expertise in Molecular Hematopathology is highly desirable.
Eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.
