Position Description:
ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY FACULTY - OPEN RANK, MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN
The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking qualified candidates to join the faculty for subspecialized academic anatomic pathology service at our Froedtert Hospital location in Milwaukee. Candidates must qualify for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Pathology or higher and be Board Certified in, or eligible for certification in Anatomic Pathology or both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and have completed fellowship training in a surgical pathology subspecialty or cytopathology. Candidates should be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Wisconsin.
The Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin consists of 56 faculty members who serve seven hospitals. The Froedtert Hospital campus operates under a subspecialty sign-out system, with close working relationships with clinicians and surgeons and a full complement of cutting-edge clinical service lines and a busy cancer center. Training programs include an AP/CP resident complement of 16, and fellowships in surgical pathology, women’s health pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, and cytopathology. The department additionally partners with Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories, a full-service, ISO15189-accredited academic healthcare system and regional reference laboratory, with outstanding histology, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics, and molecular laboratories to support clinical workflows. The department additionally has immediate access to a full range of technical services to support clinical and translational research projects.
