Job Summary and Responsibilities The Trauma/Acute Care Surgery and Orthopedic Physicians Assistant provides comprehensive care and coordination for trauma, acute care surgery, and orthopedic patients at CHMC, ensuring optimal care throughout hospitalization. The primary goal is to deliver quality care as an expert clinician, consultant, change agent, educator, and quality improvement agent, collaborating closely with medical staff, nursing, ancillary personnel, patients, and families to advance interdisciplinary teamwork. The PA reports directly to the Trauma Program Director with a reporting link to the Trauma Medical Director and contributes to the development of standardized procedures, protocols, and departmental goals.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years in an acute setting working with trauma, orthopedic, and ICU patients.

Surgical and Trauma training.

First assist H&P assessment of the trauma patients.

Current PA licenses ACLS, PALS, BLS required.

Auditing ATLS skills desirable.
