Position Details: Employed position with TTUHSC Amarillo Department of Pediatrics Team of Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners 35-bed Level III NICU at Northwest Children's Hospital Average daily census of 23-25 Coverage model: 24-hour shifts with a second NNP on day shift Work schedule: approximately seven 24-hour shifts per month Attend high-risk deliveries as assigned Procedures include intubation, UVC, UAC, and PICC line insertions Collaborate with pediatric hospitalists and subspecialists in-house Position Requirements: Preferred NNP experience; new grads considered with 3+ years NICU nursing experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current Texas APRN license with Neonatal NNP certification or ability to obtain Board Certification Ability to follow physician care directives Collaborate with attendings, residents, and medical students The Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Residency Program at TTUHSC Amarillo foster a collaborative, family-centered care environment, serving a diverse pediatric population.
