Clinical Staff Pharmacist, 3rd Shift 7on/7off, Inpatient Pharmacy at UC Health. UC Health is hiring a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for The Inpatient Pharmacy Department at the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center. We are offering a $20,000 Sign on Bonus. Responsibilities

Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Interprets medication orders (verbal and written) and transcribes to computerized patient medication profiles accurately; maintains accurate, complete medication profiles. Prepares and dispenses medications, including sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition preparations safely and accurately using appropriate techniques. Issues controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains records as required by law. Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department. Maintains competence required for current job title/position and meets hospital and department standards of performance. Assists with pharmacokinetics consult service and drug dosing per organizational protocol. Qualifications

Education:

B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. PharmD preferred. License and Certification:

Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Ohio. ACLS preferred. Experience:

Greater than or equal to six-month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred. Preference given to completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency program (or equivalent). Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle interruptions and adapt to workload changes; set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests; exercise professional judgment; effective communication (oral and written); meet pharmaceutical care needs of UC Health patients.
