As a vital member of our inpatient pharmacy team, you will be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking group committed to excellence in patient care. Responsibilities

Work with advanced automation and technology Opportunities across multiple acute care settings Supportive team culture focused on growth and learning Directly responsible for ensuring patient care quality and safety Position Summary – Responsible for: customer satisfaction, supervising and managing shift personnel and physical resources, assuring accurate dispensing of pharmaceuticals, QC/PI activities, exemplifying pharmaceutical care ideals Directs staff and encourages teamwork to ensure department workload duties are correctly assigned on a day-to-day basis Completes appropriate formulary substitutions to optimize physical resources Initiates and documents follow-up on problem areas identified during departmental inspections Participates in departmental and hospital activities, performance improvement initiatives Completes competency for IV medications and IV room; adheres to aseptic technique for sterile compounding Exercises professional judgment and communicates with physicians, nurses, and the health care team to ensure safe medication use Alerts and advises on drug interactions and potential adverse drug reactions; intervenes as needed Provides clinical dosing/monitoring services on high-risk medications and adjusts as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy/Pharm.D. Current license (or eligible) to practice pharmacy in South Carolina Prior experience in health system pharmacy, including experience with computer systems and their applications to clinical and operational aspects of pharmaceutical care 2-3 years as a Health System Pharmacist (distributive and clinical/decentralized duties) or completed ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency (or eligible) PGY1 Residency preferred Pharmacy extern will work under supervision of licensed pharmacist until license obtained Follows attendance, dress, education (including continuing education) and safety policies Complies with regulatory requirements (e.g., DHEC, DEA) EEO statements or related compliance information may be included here as required
