Job Summary
ED Clinical Pharmacist
Schedule: 7on/7off
Monday - Sunday, 7 am - 5:30 pm
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical pharmacy practice experience with the ED
Formulary and medication order set review
Graduation from PGY1 Residency

Essential Functions Include
Will be responsible for both adult and pediatric pharmacy job functions
Facilitates pharmaceutical care services, medication utilization systems within assigned services and care areas to ensure drug utilization activities are aligned with patient care needs, evidence- based best practices and regulatory standards
Completes critical patient monitoring and reviews patient profile/ chart to identify, prevent, or mitigate drug- related problems
Partners as an active member of multidisciplinary team and collaborates with healthcare providers within decentralized patient care areas to provide patient- centered care
Makes appropriate evidence-based, patient- centered medication recommendations
Participates in the management of medical emergencies
Provides discharge medication review, reconciliation, and counseling as appropriate
Maintains proficiency in and actively engages in central dispensing functions and operational programs
Oversees pharmacy operations and technician practice/activities
Maintains proficiency in preceptor roles and actively emulates education/ mentorship skills

Qualifications
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification, required.
Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy.
Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity.
Additional Skills Required: Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures.
