Overview
To assist Engineers, Project Managers, and Principal Investigators in a research laboratory. Primary responsibilities are to assist in experiments, cleaning glassware, and disinfecting equipment, under the supervision of the project head and the PI of the laboratory.
Responsibilities
Prepares basic solutions and performs base-level procedures as assigned.
Decontaminates/sterilizes glassware and other apparatuses by autoclaving.
Conducts analysis of results, and may begin interpretation of results.
Prepares lab reagents, chemicals, instruments, and equipment.
May assist with organizing materials for publication or presentation.
Ensures the cleanliness of washing machines, ovens, autoclaves and work area.
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
Licenses and Credentials Experience
Previous Research Lab Experience 0-1 year preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work as a team member.
Good interpersonal/communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Working knowledge of clinical Protocols.
Must be able to perform multiple tasks with some direction.
