Emergency Trauma Technician – Emergency Room – Full‑time – Nights at UC Irvine
Join the clinical team at UC Irvine, the only academic health system based in Orange County. UC Health serves nearly 4 million people across Orange, Riverside, and Los Angeles counties, and our acute‑care Mid‑County hospital is a regional Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma center with a 1‑g‑a‑1 geriatric emergency department and burn center.

Your Role on the Team
Provide comprehensive, quality patient care in an accurate and timely manner according to established patient standards and practice.
Work independently or cooperatively with other personnel in a fast‑paced environment with multiple demands and deadlines.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other health‑system staff.
Function effectively under stress and maintain emotional maturity.
Plan and execute patient tasks according to department standards when no directions are given.
Required Qualifications
Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT®) certification.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS®) certification.
Current Phlebotomy license.
Certification of Non‑violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 30 days of hire.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to maintain an appropriate work pace for the workload.
Demonstrated customer‑service skills relevant to the position.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of UC Irvine Health system organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
Familiarity with university and medical‑center policies and administrative procedures.
