Modeling Simulation & Analysis Engineer

role involves designing, developing, implementing, verifying, and testing high-quality software and simulation toolchains. The candidate should have extensive experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design and implementation into the missile flight code. The ability to integrate algorithms into the vehicle's flight software and to collaborate with software and hardware teams is required. Familiarity with trajectory optimization software and tools and the ability to interpret vehicle trajectory results are needed. The candidate should be able to modify or write new scripts to capture customers’ requirements for measuring vehicle performance. Note: Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance Type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time. Responsibilities Design, develop, and validate modeling and simulation frameworks for aerospace vehicles and components, ensuring accuracy and performance in various operational scenarios.

Knowledge of how performance metrics are used to evaluate missile systems.

Enhance simulation fidelity and incorporate advanced modeling techniques to support system analysis and decision-making.

Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of simulation models – identify and resolve discrepancies between simulated and real-world performance metrics. Gather, post process, and analyze vast amounts of complex data.

Verify and validate performance results to ensure the simulation matches intended results.

Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming with a focus on C++, and experience in scripting with Bash, Python, and Matlab, as well as utilizing job schedulers like SLURM or PBS.

Must have active and current Secret Clearance upon application.

Travel 10% of the time.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

Experience designing, developing, and validating modeling and simulation frameworks for aerospace vehicles and components.

Knowledge of how performance metrics are used to evaluate missile systems.

Ability to enhance simulation fidelity and incorporate advanced modeling techniques.

Experience conducting testing and evaluating simulation models; ability to gather and analyze data; verify and validate results.

Proficiency in C++, and scripting with Bash, Python, and Matlab; experience with SLURM or PBS.

Must have active and current Secret Clearance.

Travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with GNC algorithms for hypersonic missiles.

Experience with IR discrimination and tracking.

Experience creating CI/CD pipelines to automate simulation runs and post-processing.

Experience running 6DOF/3DOF simulations on HPC clusters for modeling vehicle trajectory and performance.

Familiarity with state estimation and state propagation techniques.

Roles and Levels Sr. Principal Engineer GNC Level 4 : 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; Includes similar preferred qualifications as listed above.

Principal Engineer GNC Level 3 : 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD; Includes the listed basic and preferred qualifications.

Salary Ranges Primary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00

The above salary ranges are general guidelines; base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

Additional Information

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
