The LJA Central Texas Land Development Team has an opening for a Project Engineer. This role involves hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses supporting Land Development projects, including drainage impact analyses, flood studies, FEMA CLOMRs and LOMRs, conveyance analyses, and dam breach analyses. The position includes technical analysis and design, client communication, team leadership, budgeting, and planning. The selected candidate will work from our San Antonio Office. General Responsibilities:

Provide technical analysis of large watershed engineering projects or multiple smaller projects with complex drainage features. Produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports complying with municipal and federal requirements. Utilize standard and advanced modeling techniques in hydrology and hydraulics. Communicate effectively with clients (internal and external). Assist in developing construction cost estimates, design plans, and specifications. Required Education/Licenses:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) is a plus Required Experience:

At least 4 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, detention design, FEMA LOMRs, and Floodplain Fill Mitigation Plans. Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, XP-SWMM, or ICPR4. GIS knowledge is a plus. Strong communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships. Additional Details:
