Maintenance Mechanic

– Full Time, Evening Shift (3pm-11pm), Pay: $18.00-$24.00/hr, Location: Keswick, Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities

Repair, replace, or otherwise improve items of facility equipment. May act as a helper under direction of other maintenance staff.

Assist in refurbishment of vacant rooms by repairing and replacing furnishings and fixtures. Complete items on inspection sheet to ensure proper operation of equipment and neat appearance of resident rooms.

Perform general corrective maintenance duties including a variety of general maintenance jobs. Perform exterior grounds work; clean grounds by removing trash and debris. Detect and correct unsafe conditions. Participate in snow/ice removal.

Comply with all safety programs and procedures. Provide support during emergency disaster situations. Maintain a safe, neat, and productive work environment in all equipment and shop areas. Maintain tools in good working condition; clean tools and return to proper place. Ensure safety of work area for staff, residents and visitors.

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred; one year technical trade school or equivalent may substitute.

One (1) year general maintenance experience preferred.

Entry level skills in several crafts including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance.

Microsoft Office applications and other software applications relating to the operation of the facility.
