Responsibilities
Review and analyze product specifications, test procedures, and design documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, work instructions, inspection procedures, and visual aids.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process or product nonconformities.
Conduct internal, supplier, and product audits and lead the resolution of identified issues.
Support validation of new processes, equipment, and product launches through structured testing and verification methods.
Monitor quality trends and metrics using tools such as SPC, FMEA, control plans, and capability studies to drive improvements.
Interface with suppliers and customers on quality issues, requirements, and corrective actions.
Ensure quality system compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve production quality and process capability.
Provide support for incident investigations, including documentation, safety follow-ups, and continuous improvement feedback.
Participate in the training of personnel on quality standards and procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, and quality records.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) required.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) preferred.
2–5 years of experience in a quality engineering, manufacturing, or process improvement role.
Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action (CAPA), and statistical quality tools.
Prior experience in automotive.
Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, control plans, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and APQP.
Skilled in data analysis and quality software.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
Working Conditions
Office and manufacturing floor environment. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; also occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds is possible; heavier objects will be moved with assistance from other employees or equipment.
