Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities
Works with the Rubber Engineering Team in developing the processing procedures and parameters for new and existing materials. Acts as technical liaison between rubber group, customer, and maintenance. Identifies, Analyzes and resolves challenges that arise in the operation using effective problem-solving techniques. Establishes process flow and timeline for new product launches. Work with and creates standards for operations procedures. Support and monitor the GROWTTH program. Review current production for improvements in tooling and processes. Reduce tooling damage and secondary operations. Monitor and review non-conforming rate by part and process. Reduce non-value-added operations. Develop and maintain a project list and activity log for regular reviews. Maintain positive communication between all team members on all shifts. Improve and support daily production requirements. Work with customer engineering on sample production. Provide Technical Support and Training for Production Staff. Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards and Industrial Regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the rubber or polymer industry. Proven experience in developing processing procedures and parameters for new and existing materials. Experience in acting as a technical liaison between engineering teams, customers, and maintenance. Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while engaging proactively with colleagues at all levels of the organization. Value for Customers: Anticipates, understands and meets internal/external customers’ needs and expectations. Develops solutions based on a customer centric approach. Innovation: Drives and supports innovative ideas, while taking informed risks to seek and develop new or improved solutions. Drive & Execution: Proactively identifies what needs to be done and takes action. Explores new ways and pursues new opportunities.
