The Opportunity RS&H is seeking an experienced electrical designer to join our esteemed aviation electrical engineering team in a full-time position. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers to design airfield electrical and lighting systems, navigational aid systems, and apron lighting for our nationwide aviation airport clients, as well as other lighting and power systems supporting infrastructure and transportation projects. Additional responsibilities include circuit design, lighting layout, equipment selection, and quantity take-offs. You will coordinate closely with our electrical team and multi-discipline project teams. Candidates should have at least 7 years of AutoCAD experience in electrical design, with airfield lighting experience as a plus. To Be Successful In This Role, You Must Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited program and have seven years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Have experience designing and drafting power distribution and lighting systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. Be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Be proactive in investigating and developing solutions, and in sharing knowledge with the team. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Revit. Experience with aviation electrical projects. Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and the NEC. Location Minimum 3 days in the office in St. Louis, Chicago (St. Charles), or Atlanta. Remote work may be possible with management approval, depending on experience and location. Position requires virtual communication and video conferencing for remote collaboration.
