Jacobs is seeking a talented Airfield Electrical Engineer for our Aviation team. Projects include airport-related facilities, roadway systems, access control, and aviation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, teamwork, independence, and a desire to learn new skills. In this role, you’ll: Participate in planning, design, and construction of airfield lighting and navigational aid projects. Perform electrical design tasks supporting project and design managers. Prepare bidding documents (plans & specifications), including lighting layout, site development, power distribution, lighting controls, electrical facilities, navigational aids, signage, coordination, quantity takeoffs, reports, cost estimates, and scheduling. Assist or oversee construction activities, including on-site observation and project engineering. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Initiative, creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, and teamwork orientation. Minimum 3 years of aviation electrical engineering experience, including power distribution, lighting controls, electrical infrastructure, airfield lighting, engineering reports, and specifications. Experience with voltage drop, fault current, and arc-flash calculations is a plus. Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office. Licensed Professional Engineer preferred; Engineer in Training (EIT) acceptable.
