Review system architectures and define key capabilities and performance requirements. Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with Government specifications. Recommend system implementation approach and operational concept. Ensure requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer. VMS Specification development, requirements definition, functional modeling, and VMS testing. Applies broad engineering knowledge in analyzing and developing solutions to a wide variety of airborne radar technology issues: receivers, transmitters, antenna design, resolution, mode development/techniques, computer processing and software algorithms. Support subsystems to VMS interfaces including managing requirements, design, testing and presenting updates to internal and external customers. 5+ years of experience required Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in VMS design of aircraft vehicle management systems or a master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university. Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516, Airworthiness Certification Criteria Familiarity with MIL-STD-1796, Avionics Integrity Program Demonstrated critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Top Secret Clearance Required
