Hill International is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer in Pomona, California Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering is required. Possesses five or more years of structural engineering experience is required. Electric Substation Utilities experience required. Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Teams required. Project Management certification preferred. Professional Engineering License preferred. Must be local to Southern California. Hybrid work schedule with periodic site visits. Salary range for this position is $100,000 – $125,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location. Responsibilities

Experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and advanced engineering principles. Performs assignments in specialized/unique areas where engineering precedents require broad experience. Directs or performs engineering tasks associated with a critical engineering project or several small projects with complex features. Manages the evaluation, development, and implementation of capital projects that have moderate financial and operational impact. May serve as an expert for the organization in a specific area or responsibility. Participates on project teams and may lead some teams. Provides training and direction to other engineers. Direct involvement in tasks necessary for project execution. Identifies problems and solutions. Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, deliverables and budgets. Leads civil/structural engineering analysis, calculations, design, detailing, and CAD-supported drafting for SCE facilities. Performs site visits to provide construction support and/or conduct inspections, while gathering data, performing engineering analysis, and preparing calcs, construction drawings, and specifications. Oversees design contractors to ensure quality and adherence to construction schedules, budgets, and project requirements, while providing support to field personnel, stakeholders, and customers. Ability to communicate effectively and with impact, maintain positive working relationships, and exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with multiple parties. Able to juggle multiple projects / tasks.
