Manufacturing Supervisor. The Manufacturing Supervisor works closely with the Plant Manager and Plant Superintendent to ensure the production of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Location: Crown Beverage Packaging, La Crosse, WI. Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise activities of equipment and personnel throughout the facility with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and spoilage. Communicate pertinent information between departments and shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production problems, or related information. Identify, discuss, and implement solutions to machinery and equipment problems. Provide on-the-job training and coaching as needed or required. Apply knowledge of processes, production methods, and processes to improve plant production. Manage machinery setup and adjustment; inspect products to ensure compliance with standards. Oversee quality and recommend modifications to achieve optimal performance within equipment limits. Complete and/or administer necessary documentation (production sheets, pallet tickets, job progressions, disciplinary actions, SAFE cards, time and attendance, accident reports, process control sheets). Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications
High School Education/GED; five to seven years in a high-speed manufacturing environment; at least three years of supervisory experience. Must be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; packaging industry experience; knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing. Competencies
Strong problem solving, leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently or in a team; think creatively and adapt to changing needs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.). Physical & Working Conditions
Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms; may crouch, kneel, or crawl as needed. Elevations of up to 10 pounds; vision requirements include close, distance, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Typically works in a plant environment with some office duties; exposure to moving mechanical parts, traffic, and variable temperatures; loud noise levels. Benefits
