We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is focused on the design and development of rugged, high-performance electronics used in mission-critical defense applications with an emphasis on PCB layout and design. Experience or interest in RF circuit and antenna design is a significant plus. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of electronics design, with the ability to contribute across the full product development lifecycle—from concept and prototyping through production and sustainment. An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. Qualifications

Technical Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of design, development, fabrication, and QA of electrical and electronic systems for austere environments; ability to learn and apply innovative technologies; expertise in analog/digital circuit design, embedded microcontroller design, and compact antenna design and integration; capability to perform, document, and defend modeling and analysis; experience with test methodologies and diagnostic equipment to inspect, test, analyze, and resolve electrical systems and designs. Responsibilities
Conduct research, development, test, and integration of custom embedded systems and special communications capabilities. Contribute to rapid engineering solutions for emergent non-conventional threats, turning high-level requirements into designs that integrate microelectronics with novel fabrication techniques. Design and develop electrical circuits, RF receivers, and electrically-small antenna designs with minimal oversight; perform analog/digital circuit design, embedded microcontroller design, and compact antenna design and integration; model circuits, perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and fabrication techniques; develop code to enable electronic designs; present status and decisions during design reviews. Support integration and testing of developed products to ensure reliable functionality; participate in developmental and verification testing, including extensive electromagnetic and environmental testing to meet Navy and national requirements. Collaborate with Project Leads to analyze and refine requirements, explore alternatives, and identify technical risks. Develop prototypes with technicians as needed to prove out designs. Coordinate with mechanical engineers regarding integration into customized mechanical packages. Document design solutions and adhere to configuration management processes. Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred). Compensation
Compensation at SimVentions is determined by factors including experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, in alignment with our compensation plan and contract requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $85,000 – $155,000 (USD). Benefits
