Purpose The Production Specialist I will work in a high-performing and fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation to meet production requirements while maintaining safety and quality. Responsibilities include supporting setup, changeover, and packaging of pharmaceutical products, contributing to a team environment, and fostering a quality-focused environment by motivating and influencing others to achieve excellence. Responsibilities Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures and guidelines, promoting a proactive safety culture. Use approved tools to minimize contamination during packaging. Perform housekeeping on finishing lines, complete line clearances, and blow down equipment on 1-2 value streams. Assist in setting up automated equipment in primary or secondary packaging areas. Operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment to produce finished products with minimal supervision. Conduct quality checks during production, including sampling, in-process checks, and accountability tasks. Sustain 6S standards for parts and tooling on the production floor. Escalate safety, quality, technical, or operational issues promptly. Communicate and drive continuous improvement opportunities with cross-functional teams, understanding line priorities and working independently. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform adjustments to improve efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical experience and troubleshooting skills preferred. Technical certification or degree is a plus. Strong focus on quality and compliance with site policies. Effective communication skills for reporting issues to engineering and mechanical teams. Basic computer skills; ability to learn new applications. Experience with systems like POMs, SAP, MAXIMO is preferred. Knowledge of cGMP requirements is a plus. Ability to stand for 8-12 hours and lift up to 25 pounds. Work hours may range from 40 to 60 hours per week based on manufacturing needs. Additional Information
