Provide strategic leadership for the development of the AbbVie Global Packaging Sustainability Program. Ensure that the company's sustainability efforts enhance business performance and support long-term priorities and goals. Responsible for implementing and managing global packaging sustainability strategies and objectives, managing program activities, and driving results through leadership and strategic direction. Lead activities in value improvement, environmental awareness, and development of packaging professionals' sustainability knowledge while coordinating the program. Responsibilities
Set and lead the Global Packaging Sustainability program strategy, including stage and gate meetings and timelines to meet objectives. Collaborate with Senior Management to develop and execute the program. Ensure consistency and compliance across all sustainability initiatives. Represent the organization as the primary technical contact on sustainability projects. Manage compliance with applicable policies and procedures. Provide leadership for global sustainability projects aligned with strategic business objectives. Foster innovation and exchange of ideas, integrating experiences across projects. Develop, execute, and coordinate global packaging sustainability activities to meet AbbVie's priorities and goals. Establish and lead the Packaging Sustainability Community of Practice (CoP) to drive program implementation. Build shared vision and goals across teams, maintaining strong internal and external relationships. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related discipline preferred, with 8+ years of engineering or operational experience. Master's degree is a plus. Knowledge of environmental and social standards in the pharmaceutical industry. Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups are essential. Demonstrated contributions in global project management and excellent communication skills are required. Key Stakeholders
