Overview
Ferman Chevrolet North Dale Mabry is hiring an Entry Level Automotive Service Technician. This role focuses on learning and applying automotive service skills within a team-based service department to service and repair modern vehicles. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Service Advisors and Lead Technicians to review Repair Orders, understand vehicle concerns, and properly troubleshoot and diagnose service or repair needs. Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain appropriate parts. Perform basic computerized tasks including programming and coding. Replace commonly failed engine parts (mounts, gaskets, etc.). Document repairs and testing accurately on Repair Orders and communicate findings or needs to the Service Advisor. Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety requirements at all times. Maintain ongoing training and standards education as required by Ferman and the manufacturer for certifications. Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years automotive service technician experience required. High school graduate or equivalent. ASE Certification(s) a plus; Ferman will train and pay for required ASE Certification(s). Must supply own tools for general maintenance and repair work. Electrical vehicle experience a plus; Diesel vehicle experience a plus. Ability to work weekends and in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task and follow complex instructions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bi-lingual with proficiency in English and Spanish a plus. Must have a valid US government issued Driver's License, safe driving record, and be eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.
