Welding Engineer
to join our Group and drive improvement, innovation and help Flow USA achieve its desired outcomes for quality, safety, and reliability. What is the role about?
Are you a strategic problem-solver who can turn complex welding challenges into innovative, cost-effective solutions that elevate product performance and reliability? Can you collaborate across Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to innovate and optimize welding processes that make a real impact? At Flow USA, you'll be part of a team that strives for excellence and you'll be at the heart of innovation, quality and performance. Responsibilities
Take responsibility for ensuring the safety, quality and efficiency of internal welding processes. Serve as Local Process Owner (LPO) for Flow USA. Confirm all welding activities meet and comply with the required industry standards and codes. Provide/facilitate weld theory and hands-on training for internal welders/welding operators according to ASME BPVC. Section IX. Proactively identify, plan & assist with implementation of welding process continuous improvement. Participate in global networks and activities related to welding and non-destructive/destructive testing. Oversee creation of procedure qualifications (PQR), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ). Where applicable, create and/or refine welding processes, equipment and consumables to achieve the required specifications for quality, safety and reliability. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in mechanical engineering or welding engineering field and 8+ yrs of experience in a manufacturing environment CWI or IWE Certification required Experience working with ASME BPVC. Section IX required. Familiarity with international welding quality standards preferred Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) experience or certification in Non-Destructive Testing preferred Understanding of metallurgy & weld processes for various steel & alloys Ability to explain and document technical material to less technically proficient users Ability to train welding techniques to welders/welding operators Strong self-management and initiative to lead and influence teams Occasional international travel: 1-2 weeks per year Must be a team player, showing a willingness to work with others towards common goals What can you expect from us?
