Metrology Quality Engineer
to join our team onsite in Durango, CO. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our testing capabilities meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in our testing processes and drive initiatives that enhance the quality of our hot fire testing capabilities. Responsibilities
Developing and implementing metrology procedures, techniques, and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Developing processes for calibration transfers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address measurement-related issues and improve processes. Documenting measurement data and maintaining measurement records to support traceability and continuous improvement efforts. Analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related discipline. 3+ years’ experience in metrology or quality control role. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve test equipment issues effectively. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100. Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Certifications such as Certified Metrology Engineer, Certified Quality Engineer, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, etc. Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Employment Details
Employment Type: Exempt Location: Durango, CO The salary range for this role is
$73,000-$116,000
annually. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically midrange rather than the upper end. Work Schedule: Full Time Benefits and Equity
