Agile Space Industries, Inc. designs, builds, and tests in-space propulsion systems for satellites and spacecraft. AGILE uses state of the art 3D metal alloy printing techniques to rapidly design, manufacture, and test new engine designs in our propulsion test facility. With engineers who have worked at Blue Origin, SpaceX, NASA, and Aerojet Rocketdyne, AGILE is a growing company with Defense, Civil and Commercial programs. AGILE is headquartered in Durango, CO with a facility in Mount Pleasant, PA and growing presence in Tulsa, OK. Agile Space Technologies is seeking a Test Engineer to support test operations, data analysis, and propulsion system development for space exploration. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting test operations, conducting data analysis, and assisting in the development of propulsion systems. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience on projects at the forefront of aerospace technology. Level/Experience
Level I: 0-3 years of relevant experience, strong foundational skills, ability to work independently. Level II: 5-10 years of experience with advanced expertise and leadership expectations. Responsibilities
Assist in test setup, execution, and data collection for engine testing. Conduct data analysis and generate test reports under the guidance of senior engineers. Support the development and implementation of test procedures and protocols. Assist in troubleshooting test anomalies and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful test operations. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience) Strong foundation in fluid systems, thermodynamics, and instrumentation Detail-oriented, able to follow procedures, and comfortable working safely around hazardous test systems Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations staff A problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment, and organizational skills to manage test data and documentation Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with test facilities or propulsion hardware Familiarity with data acquisition or scripting tools Exposure to fluid handling systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, or propellants Work Environment
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for certain tasks: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, SCBA (respirator) Employment Details
Employment Type: Exempt Occasional overtime to meet business needs Location: Durango, CO Work Schedule: Full Time Compensation and Benefits
Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and internal equity and is typically midrange. Benefits include 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents, paid holidays, flexible time off, sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and 401(k) with company match up to 4%. Eligible for bonuses and company equity depending on position.
