with location based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Relocation will be required and supported by Convergix. We are seeking talented individuals to join our growing team. This opportunity is based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with relocation support provided by Convergix. What you will do

Provide expertise and guidance to the engineering team during the early project stages to develop functional specifications and set design direction. Design and develop code for automation equipment (PLCs, HMIs, Industrial Robots, Vision Systems) aligning with functional requirements and Convergix's internal programming standards. Act as the Controls Project Lead to manage project performance, target functional outcomes, budget adherence, on-time delivery, and exceptional customer experience. Drive the best controls solution to meet functional requirements by applying best practices and standards with cross-functional collaboration. Promote engineering excellence in projects through critical thinking, judgement, and risk management. Lead controls-focused project meetings (offline programming reviews, design reviews, Stage-Gates) to articulate risks and approaches for stakeholder confidence. Support project status updates, forecasting, and issue/ risk management with proactive planning to ensure project success. Coach and mentor project team members, overseeing offline programming, commissioning, product testing and cross-functional support. Assist mechanical and electrical design teams in selecting, testing, and integrating hardware such as robots, motion controllers, sensors, and vision systems. Debug and commission control systems during integration at Convergix facilities and customer sites. Conduct comprehensive testing of machine functionality to ensure system integrity and conformity to customer specifications. Travel to customer and supplier sites for installation, commissioning, and training. Collaborate with systems design and other teams to continuously enhance controls technology integration for safety, functionality, and cost-efficiency. Ensure adherence to labor and material budgets and scheduled delivery dates. Work with customers, project managers, designers, toolmakers, and electricians to deliver comprehensive automation systems. Prepare accurate documentation for each project including operator, maintenance, and training manuals. Provide technical problem-solving support and training to customers. Note: The nature of the role may require working weekends or outside standard business hours. Travel to customer sites in North America several times per year, with travel expectations up to 20% of your time, typically lasting 1–2 weeks. What Qualifies You for this Opportunity

10+ years of proven controls programming and commissioning experience within industrial automation 5+ years of proven leadership experience, leading large projects and teams within industrial automation projects Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and/or sufficient industry experience and training Strong experience as technical lead on projects with emphasis on Controls Engineering Priority given to candidates familiar with PackML, Food & Beverage, or Packaging standards and experience Machine Vision experience, AI Machine Learning, Cognex or Keyence Inspection experience is an asset Knowledge of custom machine building and processes including iRVision, conveyance, Servos and VFDs Ability to work openly in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly to project teams Strong ability to work with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 software, FactoryTalk View HMI development, and robotic simulation software such as Fanuc RoboGuide Experience with other PLCs and accompanying software such as Siemens TIA Portal Knowledge of pneumatics and electrical circuit function and schematics Familiarity with how different systems interface to the PLC Familiarity with common industrial networking protocols Knowledge of CSA Safety Standards, especially relating to Cobots Reliable transportation and ability to travel; eligible to travel within the US and Canada Physical Demands
