Electrical Engineer, Spectacles, Level 3 at Snap Inc. Spectacles is home to our hardware products with a world-class research & development team. We are focused on pushing the boundaries of what a camera can be, specifically overlaying computing on the real world. Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Spectacles team. Responsibilities

Own schematic design, circuit review, stackup definition and layout review for PCB, Flex and Rigid Flex designs Test and validate electrical designs Work with senior engineers to debug hardware issues, including power quality, high-speed signal integrity, low speed interface performance, and coexistence Analyze circuits over process, variability and temperature Develop electronic prototypes for new product concepts Collaborate with RF, Product Design, Firmware, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire development process from design to failure analysis Support development builds onsite at external component suppliers and contract manufacturers Travel internationally up to 20% Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong electrical engineering fundamentals Experience in electronic design, including component selection, schematic design Familiarity with low power/battery operated designs Great interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across groups Experience with lab equipment, oscilloscopes, battery simulators, DMMS, vector network analyzers Minimum Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of experience 1+ years of relevant experience in electrical or hardware engineering Preferred Qualifications

MS in Electrical Engineering or related field Experience developing consumer electronic devices Experience with vendor communication Experience with Cadence Orcad and Allegro Equity and Inclusion

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. Zones and ranges are defined below. Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $107,000-$161,000 annually Zone B: $102,000-$153,000 annually Zone C: $91,000-$137,000 annually This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
