Dewberry is currently seeking an

Entry Level Electrical Engineer

to join our growing MEPS team in

Raleigh, NC . The Electrical Engineer is responsible for electrical engineering design, building information modeling (BIM) using Revit MEP software, CAD drafting using AutoCAD software, drawing production, specification writing, discipline coordination between the various trades, shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site reviews, and code reviews for MEP systems for various projects. Successful candidates may be requested to participate in opportunities in other Dewberry offices. Duties may also include the review of MEP systems designed by others, interface with code officials and contractors, working with architects and other clients, and working with others within the Dewberry organization. This individual will work in a multi-discipline, team environment with primary responsibility for the design and production of construction documents for building systems. The engineer will also assist with the design and specification of power distribution systems, emergency generation systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other technology systems. Responsibilities

Design and production of electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, life safety, telecommunications, and related systems. Develop BIM models in Revit MEP and drawings in AutoCAD; produce design documents. Coordinate disciplines with other trades; review shop drawings and submittals; conduct construction site reviews and code reviews for MEP systems. Review MEP designs prepared by others; interface with code officials and contractors; collaborate with architects and clients. Assist with design and specification of power, emergency generation, lighting, fire alarm, and other technology systems. Qualifications

BS in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from ABET-accredited university is required. 0-2 years of technical experience in design of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems. PE preferred. Experience designing electrical systems and producing design documents for buildings in Revit MEP and AutoCAD. Self-motivated with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; well organized; good note-taking. EOE statements and background screening disclosures as provided in original text.
