Siemens . Security Systems Service Technicians ensure all systems and components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. These systems and components include CCTV or IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms. You will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team. Our Security Service Technicians are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their building inhabitants safe. You will make an impact with these responsibilities: Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects Plan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively Basic Qualifications: 3+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems Understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission and factors that impact video rates and quality, and basic switch, router, and firewall principles Willing and able to work in a variety of environments around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment; working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use of hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; ability to differentiate types/colors of wire; ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems Ability to read/understand design and construction documents Ready to create your own journey?
