WSP is initiating a search for a
Structural Engineer
for our
Lawrenceville, NJ Office Location . The following locations will also be considered:
Morristown, NJ
and
Newark, NJ . Responsibilities
Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. Apply basic principles of Structural Engineering. Assist with project research, field work, and design calculations and analysis. Support preparation of design drawings/plans, special provisions, and cost estimates. Assist more experienced engineers in broader engineering activities, assuming more responsibility as experience increases. Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation. Complete training on assigned tasks. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related degree. Recent Masters Degree recipients are also encouraged to apply. 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience. Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework. Experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills. Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products. The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Preferred Qualifications
Recent graduate or May 2026 Graduate in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related, Undergraduate or Graduate program. 0-3 years of internship/early career experience in Structural Engineering. Experience using Microstation, AutoCAD and knowledge of reading drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). E.I.T. Certification. Benefits & Compensation
