Airframe Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (3/4) - R10192075 at Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team. This opportunity is contingent on program funding; start dates are determined after funding confirmation. Location and Travel

Onsite in Clearfield, Utah. Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time. Responsibilities

Perform static, dynamic, and DaDT structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structures, mechanical systems, and equipment, by hand and by using the automated methods and procedures approved for the program. Ensure that designs meet program requirements and are the lightest, lowest cost, and highest quality products consistent with schedule and budget objectives. May derive non-flight applied loads, create, extract, and distribute internal loads and perform weight and stiffness optimization utilizing tools such as FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter and other software applications. Collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results, manage multiple responsibilities, and analyze complex problems to develop solutions. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Principal Structural Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 5 years of aerospace structural analysis experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of aerospace structural analysis experience. Sr Principal Structural Engineer: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of aerospace structural analysis experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years of aerospace structural analysis experience. Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Preferred Qualifications

Structural Analysis experience in airframe, crew systems, subsystems, and/or structural integrity. Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time. Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00; Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and other incentives.
