Overview ABNA is seeking a Transportation Engineer for our Midtown St. Louis, MO. This position requires a self-motivated individual to assist with the design and development of roadway and highway projects. ABNA is a multi-disciplinary M/W/DBE firm experiencing growing opportunities for transportation engineering serving local governmental, state, and federal governmental agencies. Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of design services may include the following tasks and duties:

Responsibilities

The design of highways, local roads, and parking lots.

The design of traffic signals and lighting.

Create and review technical specifications.

Make estimates of probable construction costs.

Develop reports, technical memos, and design studies.

Prepare concept plans and grant applications; review shop drawings and provide design support during construction.

Clearly communicate concepts and ideas with clients and construction personnel.

Develop project proposals, scope, schedule, and man-hour estimates.

Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering with a transportation emphasis and registered as a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

5-10 years of transportation design experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, and MicroStation.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, GEOPAK, InRoads, Civil3D, ArcInfo, or Microsoft Project. is a plus.

Good working knowledge of MoDOT, IDOT, and IL Tollway standards is a plus.
