About the Position BW Design Group is seeking a qualified
Structural Engineer, PE
to join our team. This role involves working with a dedicated team of professionals across our various offices in the US, focusing on delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients. You will be involved in design, analysis, and project management tasks that contribute to impactful structural projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare design and construction documents for new structures and upgrades
Assist in defining project requirements and scope
Oversee work of junior engineers and designers
Analyze and design concrete, steel, masonry structures
Develop structural calculations, drawings, and reports
Analyze existing structures and recommend improvements
Ensure project deliverables meet quality and deadline standards
Conduct field inspections and technical support
Mentor and train junior staff
Implement corrective design measures as needed
Qualifications
Minimum of seven years of experience in structural engineering
Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, RAM, STAAD, Mathcad, ENERCALC
Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT (preferred)
Strong knowledge of building codes and seismic standards
BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) and MS in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
Professional Engineer License; Structural Engineering License preferred
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
