You will coordinate projects to ensure timely delivery of Steam tendering initiatives, collaborating closely with teams across Marketing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Procurement to define technical requirements. As the primary point of contact, you will facilitate decision-making and serve as the liaison for both internal partners and external customers. What You’ll Do: You will lead the Tendering/Proposal Development process and coordinate cross-functional activities to deliver Steam tendering projects on time.
Responsibilities
Key Role in Business Success: Lead the Tendering/Proposal Development process, a critical driver for the growth and success of our Steam business.
Project Coordination: Direct and oversee all activities to ensure on-time delivery of Steam tendering projects, including sub-components, replacement components, or entire operating turbines and valve sets.
Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Planning, and Procurement to define technical requirements and resources for tendering projects.
Facilitate Decision-Making: Ensure proper collaborative technical decision-making processes are followed for issues that extend beyond individual team responsibilities.
Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main liaison for internal business partners and external customers on all project/proposal matters.
Support Financial Workflow: Assist the Project Manager in facilitating Emergent Work Requests (EWRs) tenders for seamless financial processes.
Quotation and Negotiation: Manage requests for quotations and support SEI GS Service teams in negotiating additional scope during order entry and the product warranty phase.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical field
5–8 years of experience in Project Management, Planning, Steam Product/Manufacturing Engineering (valve knowledge preferred), power equipment production, and time management. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level
Proven ability to deliver high-quality results on time with minimal supervision and a strong commitment to excellence.
Expert-level proficiency in written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal communication skills.
Solid understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP, and their operational dependencies.
Willingness to travel up to 5%.
Demonstrates high-level critical thinking to successfully address high-impact, cross-functional, and complex challenges.
Experience in project management or team leadership with a proven track record of delivering improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
