Job Summary Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to pre-plan and manage commercial, industrial, healthcare, and other construction projects utilizing all company resources.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain up-to-date change order, subcontractor, RFI, and contingency logs.
Work with labor superintendent to ensure labor plan is being carried out efficiently.
Create MEP schedules and manpower loading charts on all projects.
Consistently submit accurate, timely, and complete estimates and change order quotations.
Understand and control the project budget and provide accurate job cost projections.
Actively engage and manage the BIM process.
Review submittals of MEP equipment and specialty items for accuracy and completeness.
Professional, timely, and proactive communication with our customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal services.
Promote and enforce our S&S safety culture.
Satisfy customers’ needs to develop repeat business.
Actively support our field resources with their needs.
Qualifications
5 years minimum mechanical project management experience required.
Experience managing projects of various sizes.
Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems.
Experience in monitoring labor performance for purpose of managing labor productivity and tracking progress.
Knowledgeable in generating and updating construction schedules (MS Project) and manpower loading charts.
Competent in reading construction plans and specifications.
Ability to coordinate timely delivery of MEP equipment and specialty items required for the project.
Excellent communicator in both written and verbal forms.
Self-motivated, working under minimal supervision.
Customer oriented.
Team player with the ability to motivate others.
Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
Motivated to take ownership, see problems as opportunities, and develop solutions.
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
